Landscaping Committee
Thursday, April 1st, 2027, 8:30am to 11:30am at In Front Of The South Building
The Valencia on the Gulf Landscaping Committee is set up to work to improve the landscape. The committee members are Rick Nangle, Joanne Erickson, Brenda Woodward and Chris Cosnowski. The landscaping volunteers consist of any owner that wants to help keep the grounds looking in tip top condition. These volunteers work tirelessly planting flowers, shrubs, spreading mulch and pulling those dreaded nasty weeds. Be sure to come on out and join up with the 15 to 25 volunteers we currently have (in season) which usually begin in December or January when everyone returns. Because as the old saying goes, many hands make light work. The season usually finishes at the end of March or early April. We will meet up on Thursday in front of the South Building at 8:30 A.M. (weather permitting). Gloves and all tools needed are provided by the Landscape Committee. Watch the Eblasts for more information on the group’s updates.
Mahjong
Friday, April 2nd, 2027, 1pm to 3pm at South Building Activity Room
Mahjong is a fun and popular fast paced Chinese tile-based game. It is rumored to have been invented by Confucious himself. The game is based on skill, strategy and tactile deductions. It is said that mahjong means “Sparrows” in Chinese as the clattering of the moving tiles sounds like the “Clattering of Sparrows”. Research has shown that intense memory, strategy and calculation games help to keep your brain sharp. There is a group that meets in the South Building Activity room seasonally January through April. On Mondays and Fridays from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. (or until finished). All Owners and Lessees are welcome to attend. Due to the limited size of the room be sure to check with the organizers about space availability. Organizers are Nancy Connors.
Martini Monday
Monday, April 5th, 2027, TBD at South Building Lobby
All Valencia on the Gulf Owners and Lessees are welcome to attend Martini Monday gatherings. They take place every Monday in season January through April. We gather at sunset by the Shuffleboard Court. There is no fee or sign-up required to attend this gathering. Be sure to bring your beverage of choice with you (it does not have to be a Martini) to watch the beautiful Florida sunset together with your neighbors. This is a great way to catch up with old friends or make some new friends at Valencia. The Social Committee Organizers are Pam Brown, RaeAnn Bayless & Cathy Johns. They work hard every year to create and make all these gatherings fun and memorable for all who attend.

Mahjong
Friday, April 30th, 2027, 1pm to 3pm at South Building Activity Room
